Cleo is a nurse, with degrees in theology and a master’s in applied linguistics for Bible translation. She has served with YWAM for 30 years. Together with her husband, Emanuel, she leads the base in Porto Velho and coordinates translation projects. She has worked with various ethnic groups, offering healthcare, teaching, and leading Brazil’s Frontier Missions. Although involved in a written Bible translation project for nearly ten years, her engagement deepened significantly in 2020. Her focus is to help people hear God’s wonders in their own language.

Suzuki is a missionary and linguist committed to Bible translation and the spread of the gospel, particularly among underserved language communities. He combines linguistic expertise with cross-cultural experience to translate Scripture while preserving cultural and linguistic meaning. His work helps local believers engage with the Bible in their own context. Suzuki’s work reflects his belief that access to God’s Word in one’s heart language is transformative.

Jen is originally from Nanaimo, Canada, and has lived in Perth, Australia, since her DTS in 2000. She is married to Caleb and has three sons. In 2017, she founded the everytongue ministry, which focuses on prayer, Bible translation, language surveying, artwork, Jesus Film narration, Bible distribution, and training. She has worked on OBT and OMT projects with language groups in Ethiopia, Nepal, China, and Australia. She ran her first OBT seminar in 2018 and has led several schools and seminars since then. Jen is part of the College of Applied Linguistics & Languages committee and represents YWAM on the SAIL (Scripture for Australian Indigenous Languages) committee in Australia.

Jessy grew up in Oregon, USA and has enjoyed learning languages since she was a teenager. She has been in YWAM since 2007 and served in various positions in Berlin with her husband, and three children for 14 years before returning to the US. After training to be a facilitator, she has participated in mother tongue led translation projects in three nations so far, both oral and signed and continues to support these projects how she can. She enjoys working with and learning from others who also wish to see the Bible accessible in every heart language.

Marcia is a linguist, Bible translation mentor, and dean of the College of Applied Linguistics and Languages at the University of the Nations. She has more than 30 years of experience working with indigenous communities in Bible translation and cross-cultural linguistics training. She is the author of several articles and resources that support the global Bible translation movement. She also serves on the OBT Affinity Table of ETEN (Every Tribe Every Nation), contributing to initiatives that aim to make Scripture accessible to all languages and cultures. Marcia lives in California with her husband, Suzuki, and their daughter, Kanani.

Meleah, originally from the USA, has been with YWAM since 2003. Since 2011, she, along with her husband Joseph, and their four children have been living and serving in Togo and other west African countries. She is passionate about empowering people to value all languages, the importance of full bibles in every language and helping others to translate the Bible into their mother tongue. She does this through training, offering guidance, teaching and walking alongside others who are actively involved in translation work.

Youngshin joined Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in 1989 and has ministered in about 54 countries, including Korea, Egypt, Switzerland, and Hawaii. She has led training programs such as DTS, LTS, and communication courses, and has been involved in pioneering efforts among unreached people groups and Uniskript initiatives. After completing her Master of Applied Linguistics in Bible Translation (MALIBT) in 2018, she began pioneering Oral Bible Translation (OBT) schools and mentoring OBT projects in various regions. From 2023 to 2024, she studied biblical Hebrew with the Institute for Biblical Languages and Translation (IBLT) in Israel.
