About
Hello! I'm from Brazil and have been blessed to serve with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for 26 wonderful years. My journey has taken me to some incredible places. I have served YWAM in Porto Velho in Brazil, Dondo in Mozambique, Worcester in South Africa, and Eswatini, where I had the privilege of leading the base for a decade from 2011 to 2021.
I’m happily married and a proud father of two wonderful kids. Throughout my years with YWAM, I've been deeply involved in linguistics and have worked in various cross-cultural contexts. Living in different countries and experiencing diverse cultures has given me a unique sensitivity that helps me collaborate effectively with teams. I truly believe in the importance of respecting and honoring each culture and background as we work together to make a positive impact.
One of my greatest passions is witnessing the transformative power of the Bible within communities. In my experience, the Scriptures have a profound ability to bring hope, healing, and direction to individuals and families. Through Bible translation and teaching, I’ve seen how people can connect with their faith on a deeper level, fostering unity and encouraging positive change. The messages of love, compassion, and purpose found in the Bible resonate deeply, helping communities to navigate challenges and inspire new generations.
Academically, I hold a Master's Degree in Linguistics, focusing on Bible translation, from the University of the Nations College in Applied Linguistics and Languages. This educational background, combined with my hands-on experience, allows me to bridge language and culture smoothly, ensuring that the Scriptures are accessible and impactful for everyone.
I’m passionate about helping teams thrive and ensuring that their work reflects the richness of their cultural heritage. It’s a joy to see people come together, share their stories, and create something meaningful and experiencing the life-changing message of the Bible.
