Anabel de Souza Lima
Anabel joined YWAM in 1982 after receiving her call to missions. She has served among tribal communities in the Amazon, participated in Bible translation efforts, and led various training schools in Brazil. Since 1998, she has been pioneering mission work in Timor-Leste, supporting education, construction, and leadership training. Over the years, she has helped develop projects across Southeast Asia and remains active as a regional elder.

Betânia
Betânia serves among indigenous communities in the Amazon alongside her husband, Paulo. She is involved in Bible translation and training, especially through the TIB program. She is completing the New Testament translation for an indigenous language and is preparing a dialect adaptation. Betânia also works as an Oral Bible Translation consultant and is the mother of Chaya.

Bio Athanase
Bio is from Benin and is training to become a Bible translation consultant with Wycliffe Benin. He specializes in biblical poetry and teaches biblical Hebrew. He serves as an OBT trainer and has participated in numerous translation workshops across the region.

Chris Adams
Originally from Minnesota, Chris joined YWAM in 2001 after completing his DTS and School of Worship. He led the School of Worship in Perth and Newcastle and now serves with everytongue, a YWAM initiative focused on ending Bible poverty. Chris teaches worship and holds master’s degrees in linguistics and theology. He and his wife Debi have four children.

Janvier is from Togo and serves as a missionary mentor in Bible translation. He joined YWAM in 2014, completed OBT training in 2019, and studied Hebrew and orality in Israel. He interned with Wycliffe Benin, gaining experience in both oral and written Bible translation.

Luciano Duarte
Luciano is from Brazil and has served with YWAM for over 25 years in countries such as Mozambique, South Africa, and Eswatini, where he led the base for 10 years. With a background in linguistics and a Master’s in Bible Translation, he is passionate about the impact of Scripture in communities and works to bridge culture and language in translation efforts.

Patricia Tivane
Patrícia is a Bible translator and consultant. She holds degrees in Theology and Applied Linguistics and has been involved in the translation of the New Testament into the Central Yanomami language. Alongside her husband Daniel, she also mentors translation projects and leads a ministry in Mozambique.

Raisa Santos
Raíssa serves with YWAM São Paulo and has been active in Bible translation for around 20 years. She holds master’s degrees in Theology and Applied Linguistics and is part of the UofN Applied Linguistics and Languages committee. She works with both oral and written Bible translation alongside her husband and their five children.

Youngshin Kim
Youngshin joined YWAM in 1989 and has ministered in over 50 nations. She has been involved in training programs and pioneering efforts among unreached peoples. Since completing her MA in Bible Translation in 2018, she has focused on Oral Bible Translation schools and mentoring, and recently studied Biblical Hebrew in Israel.
